Registration Rules and Regulations

Hazen’s Athletic Inc. will only have six participants to each class. We believe that you will get more out of these classes because of the player to coach ratio is 6 -1. Our fiscal year will consist of 4 quarters. There will be three months in each quarter. To guarantee the time you would like please sign up quarterly. Each month begins a new class so therefore your classmates may change.

Pitching Class – You will have an hour to pitch and work on the techniques you need in addition to being critiqued. You must bring a catcher to these classes.

Pitching with live hitting – This class is only for Varsity players. It is all about decision making both on the rubber and at the plate. As a pitcher what pitch to throw and how to read the batters located in the box. A pitching instructor will be with the pitchers. Umpires are behind the plate as well. Come and join this exciting class.

Hitting Class - You will be taught the mechanics as a beginner and as an advanced hitter for years you will be able to determine what the problem is and have it solved. Is it your rotation, balance, timing, etc? You will find out. Please bring your bat and we will see you at the plate.

Hitting with live pitching - This class is only for Varsity players. It is all about decision making both on the pitching mound and at the plate. As a batter you will learn how to hit certain pitches along with working on reaction time. This is very time consuming in an actual practice setting, so therefore; players don’t practice it enough. We will set it up for you so sign up and practice the importance of the live action at the plate. A hitting instructor will be with the batters. Umpires are behind the plate as well. Come and join this exciting class.

Catching Class - This class will teach you to be one of the leaders of the game. You see everything. You will be working on strengthening of the lower body, framing, blocking, quickness of ball release, and most importantly how to work with your pitcher .You will need to supply your own equipment for this class.
